MY STORY
In 2003 as soon as I graduated from a Fine Art College in Riga I moved to the UK to pursue my dream of becoming an animator. Tattooing was one of my ‘what if’ dreams so I only pursued it whilst doing an Animation Ba Hons degree at Kingston University in London. Once I got my tattoo apprenticeship I knew that this type of art is going to be with me for life!

After I finished my apprenticeship (in 2011) and got some experience I started travelling with my skills around the world (Switzerland, Ireland, Denmark, Australia and more). I was on a mission to obtain as much knowledge about tattooing as possible.
I was very lucky to work in some world famous studios like 'Giahi' (Switzerland) and meet some of the best tattoo artists from all around the world from whom I have learned so much!
My tattoo journey took me all the way to Australia where I felt homesick for the UK and this was the turning point for me. In 2013 by chance I ended up in Carlisle, Cumbria and fell in love with the city and people. This is when Studio 58 was born
